a college student reading a book in libraryCollege is expensive, and it can be difficult to pay for school. That’s why you should be looking for side hustles. The best part about making extra money in college is that it can help you build your resume and help you make connections you can use after you graduate.  For example, you might start a side gig with a friend for fun or make money for a class project. And if you get serious about it, it can turn into a full-time business with the potential to be a career. But you’ll have to be smart about how you brand yourself and make yourself stand out from the crowd. Some side hustles are easier than others, but it’s still important to do your research before diving in. Here are 25 of my favorite ways that college students can make money on the side: 1. Become an Online Tutora video conference Do you know a lot about something and are willing to share it with others? You could become a tutor online! Think of all the different skill sets that people might need help with. The beauty of being an online tutor is that you can do it from anywhere, including your dorm room. You just need a computer and Internet connection to teach people online. The best part about this is that as long as students have Internet access, they can watch your lessons and learn from you anywhere. So even if the student is traveling or studying abroad, they will still be able to connect with you. And this isn’t just limited to helping people learn new skills, you can also make money by tutoring students for tests! For example, if you’re a math whiz who’s looking for a new way to make money in college, this might be an option that could work out well for you. 2. Be an Airbnb Hostan apartmant for rent Airbnb is one of the best websites I’ve ever used! You can also become a host on Airbnb without owning your own home. If you live in an apartment, there are plenty of ways to be a part of this community. You can rent out the extra room in your apartment and make money from it, or if you have an RV or camper van, you could rent it out on Airbnb and get a lot of use out of it. 3. Do Voice-Over Work for Animations or Video Gamesrecording studio Have you ever noticed how many side characters in video games have a voice? In addition, passengers can sometimes be rude, which can get you into trouble. How to manage your money from side hustling? Now that you know how to make money in college let’s talk about how you can keep track of it all. Whether or not you have a job on campus, there are plenty of apps and websites out there that will help you manage your expenses! But the problem is they don’t always offer the most convenient way to add everything up.To give you an idea, I have many different bank accounts and use several different apps — not just one! And I still can’t easily see the total amount in my checking account from all my other accounts. So I don’t think there’s any single app that’s going to give you a complete picture of your finances. But there are still some great options that can help keep track of everything: Apps like Mint aggregate all your financial accounts, and then there are budgeting tools like You Need A Budget (YNAB). I also use Google Sheets to track my spending, a free tool that’s easy to set up and use. So it all depends on what works best for you! And when it comes to making money in college, the most important thing is to focus on your education first. That will be your main job after graduation — and making sure that you’re having fun.  It’s easy to get caught up in your grades or the extra money you make, but don’t forget to take some time for yourself and to enjoy the experience of being in college!
