I sensed on return home, after two unsuccessful bingo games and 3-2 footy defeat, that Clifford's support waning. However Chicken breast x 2 soon resolved problems and he is back 'onside' whilst sleeping it off. We fight on. #WEARMOUTH CW

Nine league defeats on the bounce following today's loss. For me played well but couple of poor goals conceded cost us and went down 3-2. Whatever happens we keep going. Can't fault anyone for their effort today. Our day will come!!! #Wearmouth CW

@FcRedhouse @WEARMOUTHCWFC @SunderlandSL I know. We are having a hard enough time at the moment without league dropping us from the cup without playing game! Only joking Colin!!!! #Wearmouth CW

@WEARMOUTHCWFC @PottersWestEnd The manager accepts no responsibility for the current situation. He will continue to spout the same old rubbish pre/post match and throughout game. He has total support of committee though. (himself and Clifford). We keep fighting on!!!! Or similar such rubbish. #Wearmouth CW

Great win for Wearmouth CW today. 4-1 v Board Inn in cup. Rumours that I had 'lost' dressing room put to bed once and for all. Well at least till next week. Clifford is ecstatic so I have excuse to attach his photo. #Wearmouth CW

Fifth consecutive defeat for Wearmouth CW today despite Clifford warming strips for team before game. Not sure what more I can do to stop losing streak. #Wearmouth CW

@WEARMOUTHCWFC Signed Simon Fletcher and Peter Wilson today. Simon will be straight into squad for Sunday. Used to play for us as a junior team. Great player and good lad. Peter one of the best midfielders in over 40 league and will help us when needed. #Wearmouth CW

I hope that the sacking of Jack Ross doesn't give anyone at Wearmouth ideas. I wash the strips. Don't ever forget that! #Wearmouth CW

@WEARMOUTHCWFC @FcRedhouse Yes got a few back this Sunday so hopefully we are over the worst injury /holiday wise. No reason why we can't beat Red House although I'm sure they will think differently. Should be great game. #Wearmouth CW

Do you remember when football fans wore shirts, ties and hats? Here's the Roker Park massive streaming across #Wearmouth Bridge in 1955.... #Sunderland

Lost 7-0 in county cup. Had better days! But 13 who played were heroes. Decimated by injuries, hols, etc was hard enough but four injuries during match had us trying to stem tide with 9 fit players. Never gave up against good team. Couldn't ask for more. #Wearmouth CW

Well beaten today by Queen Vic. 6-3. They are good team but we let ourselves down in second half. Got to bounce back next week. #Wearmouth CW

One downside to today's win. Didn't get back to duck until 2.15pm meaning that I missed both bingos. My bingo friends, with whom I normally share, had won both houses. They of course did not gloat about this. Life can be very cruel sometimes. #Wearmouth CW

Our first ever County Cup away win today. 2-0 at Staindrop. Very good game. We got breaks and that was that. Workrate outstanding from all 15 who played today against a decent team. Nobody will find it easy against us. #Wearmouth CW

Another great win for Wearmouth last night. Made it difficult for opposition and earned victory. Good to see lads who didn't start/play Sunday come in and do job for team. Whoever play us will know they been in a game. #Wearmouth CW

Clifford has blotted his copybook today. Had a wee on one of footy strips. Him not me that is. I won't reveal which strip it was but number seven is not so lucky now. I shall keep this secret from team. #WEARMOUTH CW

Great win for Wearmouth CW today. Then again any wins a good one. Thorney close were probably unfortunate to lose but when you have every player and sub supporting team you always have chance. #Wearmouth CW

Good display yesterday by Wearmouth. Shame to lose 1-0 but everyone played well so all good. Can't wait for Thursday when we play Southwick in the Duck Derby! One of best Sunday teams in England so it's a great test . As ever we will give it a go. Ko 6.30 Castle View. #Wearmouth

As the daughter of a blacksmith striker at #Wearmouth Colliery I was delighted to see a tribute to #DurhamMinersGala during a visit to Grange Park Primary School in #Sunderland this week. Many thanks for the invitation - the pupils are all a real credit to their school.

Another day and no transfer news at Wearmouth CWFC. Just have to make do with the lads who played with us for years I suppose. Anyway on to more important issues. Is it mixed kebab or chicken tonight? I shall ponder throughout afternoon which way to go. #Wearmouth CW

@WEARMOUTHCWFC I have washed bibs. What more could anyone want. Should be great session tomorrow. Very pleased with our squad and the new additions. No reason why we can't finish top four. Nothing to fear. #Wearmouth CW

Good luck to Andrew Baxter who has decided to leave us and sign for Pennywell Comrades. Hope he does well for his new team. #WEARMOUTH CW

Another bombshell at Wearmouth CW. It transpires that one of our players has openly declared himself 'teetotal'. This is obviously a difficult time for him but we as a club are standing by him. #Wearmouth CW

First training session at Thompson Park Arena for Wearmouth CW. All went well. The new adaptor worked and the tactics board was enthusiastically received. But best of all David Hoey( aka Shack) was back. A legend of local football. #Wearmouth CW

An update on needle/inflator problems. I've extracted needle from ball and both it and inflator are doing well. Drama over. We move on. #Wearmouth CW

Massive blow to Wearmouth's pre season preparations. Needle on inflator snapped last night bursting the ball. It's a blow but we can handle this as a group and come back stronger. #WEARMOUTH CW

Walked down by the river. Wearmouth Colliery Coal Staithes still stand tall. I hope they never go. Once part of the Durham Coalfield, it was deepest coal mine in the world (1578ft).

#OTD remember the Venerable Bede, born in #Sunderland, educated by Benedict Biscop at #Wearmouth and Ceolfrith at #Jarrow where he remained the rest of his life. Biblical scholar and historian, particularly of the English church, he invented the BC\AD definition of the years.
