The line of cars to drop off food at Sanford Middle School is 14 blocks long in ONE DIRECTION. God I love Minneapolis.
@GLWaltz same thing happened at Bethlehem Lutheran in the Midway...more than 500 volunteers and several hundred food and necessities handed out to the Saint Paul Community. This is the Twin Cities I love so much!
@tracym @GLWaltz @KSTP @tracym my wife is the marketing manager for the organization that put together the logistics for this - - they have worked in filling gaps in community nutrition for over 10 years in Minneapolis and will continue this work. DM me and I can connect you.
@GLWaltz And Saint Paul. I had a buddy drive from Woodbury to donate. Not just one city. People always tend to forget our metro area is more than one city.
@mary_bombshell @GLWaltz It's was organized by the community to help get groceries to the kids who have been relying on the school provided meals even during quarantine. With so many stores destroyed they can't even get groceries.
@GLWaltz This is what @JoeBiden means I think. The strength of American people. The majority of them. NOT the few, the extreme, the loudmouthed, the easily-manipulated, the deplorably-priviledged ones.
@GLWaltz That is impressive!!
I have lived in the Twin Cities all but 2 of my 56 years of life. Now we must collectively open the doors to a more fair and equal city for all.
