July 2011, in the barracks. I found out I was pregnant shortly after. We were both active duty. He told me he loved me & convinced me to get married. He was abusive & Army did nothing to help. Once I left, my son & I were homeless. Fort Carson betrayed me 💜

In 1995 I was drugged, raped and sodomized at NNPTC in Orlando. When I went to report it, I was told I would be dishonorably discharged for filing a false report, & I would be charged with adultery because my rapist was married. #IAMVANESSAGUILLEN #MeTooMilitary

It’s been a year since the @USWNTPlayers became world champions and re-ignited the conversation about pay equity. These stories show that this fight is far from over — but their continued leadership is making a difference.

What has happened to Vanessa Guillen is absolutely heartbreaking. I was afraid to speak up, but I know I must speak my truth and bring awareness to what happens in the military. It happened to me a few months go. #IAMVANESSAGUILLEN

I served active duty as a jet mechanic.

The men who sexually assaulted me are still serving in uniform today.

STATISTICALLY you are more likely to get raped by someone in the same uniform as you than you are to be shot at by the enemy. Read that again.

More than 6% of active duty men and 24% of active duty women were sexually harassed in 2018. 1 in 5 women who experienced harassment were also sexually assaulted.

We need #JusticeForVanessaGuillen—and for all those who our military has failed to protect.

I was 22. I never reported it for fear of backlash. Why would I, when the most they did for another girl who reported a different person was ask her if she led him on?
