It’s hardly surprising that the Home Secretary doesn’t understand the rule of law. Most of her predecessors didn’t either.

Lawyers, what is something about practicing that law school students might have a hard time believing?
The one that gets me is how often opposing counsel will cite a case for a proposition, and then you look and see the case doesn't say that at all, or even says the *opposite.*
That most days you can’t actually practise law as the government has sold off half the courts and won’t pay to keep the remaining ones open.
Working on a story about youth court delays. I have in the back of my mind that back in the day there were time limits on when youths needed to be summonsed to court by police. Can't find anything in Bench Book.
