Been social distancing since March. Today I broke it to join the #BlackLivesMattter demo outside Parliament and take a knee with thousands of brave young people calling for Justice.

TIMES BUSINESS: UK banks back Beijing’s Hong Kong security law #TomorrowsPapersToday

HSBC spend big money self-promoting their brand at prides in the United Kingdom.

But when push comes to shove, they’ll throw Hong Kong’s human rights under the bus for the oppressive Chinese Communist Party.

There’s no pride in the CCP.

There are no surrender papers to sign in the culture wars. You cannot just accept defeat & move on. Progressivism is a transformative religion, it must go forward by its very nature, to help create its desired but impossible fair & equal world. 'There is still much work to do'

The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs is exactly how you'd imagine and want an American general to look like

BTW sure they're all lovely people, I just disagree with the sentiment of the gesture. But it's a problem of being a metro-con (I'm not sure who's photo this is. Not mine, but if you want me to credit or delete it, fine)

The problem with England is that the nicer, friendlier, safer and more cultured your area, the more likely your neighbours will be like this (this is Oxford)

Even at beginning of C20th Muslims requested Christians to parade the relics of their saints as a means of driving off an epidemic.

Replying to @ElijahDelMedigo: It’s not fully appreciated just how recent a development religious fundamentalism has been.

Not only is this child abuse. It envourages sentiments in very small kids that they are better than their ethnic minority counterparts. Progressives are no longer progressive. They are regressive and reactionary. We’re going backwards.

Replying to @NeilDotObrien: This is bizarre

the aristocracy of the worlds leading power has collectively lost its mind and they’re going to drag the rest of us down with them

The college kids thousands of dollars or pounds in debt with a gender studies degree are the equivalent of the younger sons of Norman lords who were never going to inherit land and had nothing to do but forment rebellion and war

From several commenters, "why aren't you yelling about these protestors?"

I'm worried about them, yes. But if you see no difference between people protesting for their ability to get a haircut during a pandemic vs. fighting against being murdered by police, I can't help you.

It’s important to understand that what the mob is now doing to the NYT is what they did to Evergreen University. They hate liberal institutions and they want them dismantled from within. These people are not liberal and they are a disgrace to journalism.

This is an epidemiologist. The message to normies: going outside is killing grandma. The message to woke kids: never mind! The double standards are disgusting. We'll find out how deadly they are in a couple of weeks or so.

I am beginning to understand what it must have felt like to be alive in the Middle Ages when one of those hysterical outbreaks began and everyone in your village started quacking like a duck or refusing to wear clothes.

Part of the ruins of Reading Abbey - founded in 1121, the year after the White Ship catastrophe, by Henry I. Henry was buried here, in a building that cost the equivalent of £0.5 billion. It was confiscated by Henry VIII, then blown up by Charles I in the Civil War. #thewhiteship
