The Canadian Indigenous People need to develop a system to educate their people to keep them safe.
Violence against women, is a problem for all women.
Education is the only way to help protect us from violent crime.

Indigenous Women ARE Educated Beyond Belief Regarding How to Keep Safe.

The issue is With the Perpetrators, and the Fact The Crimes Don't Get Prosecuted.

Because in a few days I’m turning ‘Sorels and Down skirts and wearing your hat to bed is sexy’ years old.

So many women are needlessly freezing in winter (then think winter/outdoors isn’t for them) because we’re sold “sleek” fitted coats in order to take up less space, look smaller. And then we’re COLD. You NEED bulky clothes to thrive in winter! Big layers! Embrace all puff!

This thread makes me all kinds of happy.

I have a birthday this week. I am turning: ‘always takes off glasses to read, forgets about them and later sits on them’ years old.

I’m such a northerner, I don’t feel like I’m home until the mercury drops below 20F. And the smell of snow makes me sentimental.

Just went to a HomeGoods for the 1st time. Death by Tchotchkes seems like an imminent possibility.

But every time that snowday angst hits at 5am, I think of the wonderful poem “mindful” by @rachzuck and feel understood.

First Snowdays of the year here. Yes, on 11/8. It’s 30F and clear and we have maybe 6 inches. This MInnesota girl thinks Michiganders are winter wimps.

"I joined Nike because I wanted to be the best female athlete, ever. Instead, I was emotionally and physically abused by a system designed by Alberto and endorsed by Nike," says Mary Cain.

it's yet another story of men thinking they own women's bodies, and women not being believed. Kudos to @karagoucher and Mary Cain for fighting until their voices were heard.

Nothing causes more existential anxiety than having to write my own bio. Who AM I, really?

True story: I went to Paris once and skipped the Louvre. Even bought tickets but the line was looooong. The park was quiet, with all those comfy green chairs & I was with my kids, who were more interested in Macarons and French jungle gyms. No regrets.

Several years ago, when we started doing audience surveys at @radioambulante, we discovered something interesting: 20% of our listeners were using our stories to learn Spanish. So we started asking ourselves what we could do to better serve them. / THREAD ↓

One of the best storytelling projects to emerge in the past decade just got even cooler. Que bacán @radioambulante
