It with a large degree of humility and a great seriousness, I accept for my office the responsibility for leadership on this critical case involving the killing of George Floyd.

We are going to bring to bear all the resources necessary to achieve justice in this case.

White people talking to white people. More of this please. If you’re white and you believe yourself not to be racist, yet you don’t talk to your white friends like this or stand up beyond tweets for Black people... you simply aren’t who you think you are.

What we’re witnessing, yet again, is what happens when police receive all of the tools of war and virtually none of the accountability for the violence that they perpetrate.

One of the largest urban Native populations in the Midwest lives at the center of the destruction in Minneapolis. Here’s a great org to support.

Minneapolis, people are exploiting our grief and destroying our city.

The fires in area in Minneapolis where no protest took place gives us a clearer picture of that.

We can’t let them. We must all come together to clean up our city and protect one another.

Pay attention. This is real. And I am certain it is no coincidence that it’s happening on Omar’s state, where Ellison is the AG, and in a city with smart liberal mayor who Trump has beeen picking fights with for months.

THIS. THIS. THIS.
This is the Minneapolis I want people to see.

...Neighbors cleaning up the Walgreens on 32nd & E Lake that was burned by agitators over night.
Emotions are high here. Some crying as they clean up.
These are the helpers.
These are Minnesotans.

Current situation in Minneapolis: Local businesses have been burned to the ground. Families have been displaced. Children need food and other essentials. Buses aren’t running, at least in those areas, so it’s hard for people to have much mobility. We’re expecting more riots.
