McConnell's vow to rig the trial for Trump is worse than it appears.

McConnell and Hannity are saying this is how it *should* be. McConnell went on Hannity precisely to reassure Trump/GOP voters that Senate GOP's interests are 100% aligned with Trump's:

People ask me when I think protest is appropriate and matters, since I'm usually not a fan.
This, right here, should bring people into the streets of every state with a Republican senator. This is a direct attack on the Constitution, not by Trump, but by an entire party.

Yes, Danny Aiello did some great performances in movies, but we should not forget his brief but unforgettable turn as a hepcat private eye in the short-lived, CBS detective show DELLAVENTURA. #RIP

Tried to watch this clip from Dellaventura and it kept freezing up and for the first time in my life and surely the last I grumbled, “Goddamnit, why won’t they just let me watch the scene from Dellaventura?”

#RIPDannyAiello A fine actor - I saw him in Once Around and went right back the following day. Treat yourself. This podcast is another beautiful, hilarious tribute to his warm, playful spirit.

The show was canceled not too long after my interview with Aiello ran, and I always wondered if the two things are connected. I also wondered if he talked shit about the show and the network because he wanted it to be canceled.

@mattzollerseitz I also remember the TCA panel for that, where Tom Jicha began interrogating Aiello and the producers about how, "He's running up and down fire escapes and across rooftops, and he's not even huffin' and puffin'!"

 14  2  2

Part of the interview happened at a race track in New Jersey. Aiello interrupted his conversation with me when a PA signaled to him. “Hold on a second, it’s the race track manager, wants to give me a tour. I gotta go over there and pretend like I care.”

This was halfway through the run of the show, which only lasted one season. I asked Aiello if he would return even though he didn’t like his own series. “Probably. I like the money. But at this point I’m mainly in it for the hats.“

Complete catalog of everything available at the store: click the link & page through. Includes signed books I’ve written/co-written, anthologies I have contributed to, and some souvenir stuff, including the Sopranos Film Festival program.

Attention holiday shoppers: final deadline for guaranteed Christmas delivery is December 21. The Sopranos Film Festival programs are moving really well and I only have 33 copies left. Running out of Mad Men Carousel hardcovers as well.

One of the reasons the truly ridiculous HUDSON HAWK has value of any kind is because of the absurd amounts of joy Aiello brought to his role. And his singing. Good god, that man is having a good time in that film.
