I ate chocolate cake. I had a bath. I had a really good phone call about my book. But I have had a bad case of the Covid Blues today. Bad. Currently snugging a smol dog in hopes it will help.

Are the cities true about the state yall live in?

Nope. Spokane is not worse than Wenatchee. (Sorry, Wenatchee.)

My anti-workplace-COVID regulation: all managers & owners must spend at least 8 hours/day on the floor of the facilities where their employee headcount is densest, wearing identical protective gear as workers. e.g. Bezos must be in the warehouse w/ highest # of workers/sq foot.

sometimes when i'm deep in quaranteine blues, stress eating and snugging my dog more than he likes, i think about how "grab 'em by the pussy" wasn't a disqualifying event.

This is Christian Cooper.

OMG he's adorable.

And shouldn't have to be. Could look like the baddest mofo for miles around and still the thing to do is say hi, sorry, and leash your damn dog.

I wrote this essay in protest of all Amy Coopers saying they're scared of me.

"They don’t need to figure out who I am. All they see is what I am. A black male. And what I am pronounces who I am. A criminal. The embodiment of danger. The producer of fear."

last night i dreamed that my mom and my stepfather (who is dead) came to get me at a music festival because they needed me to know my couch had been stolen and i am tired of pandemic dreams.
